In Defence of Freedom of Speech - Private Screening 'Eye in the Sky'

This is our last chance to raise funds for the Q Society legal defence fund before the trial in the defamation case brought on by Mohamed El-Mouehly of Halal Certification Authority Pty Ltd against Debbie, Kirralie and the Q Society, starts at the NSW Supreme Court in March 2017.

We will have a private screening of "Eye in the Sky" starring Helen Mirren and Alan Rickman - a very topical drama – terrorists, politics and drones

Date: Sunday 26 February 2017

Time: Social gathering at 4.00 pm. Film starts 4.30 pm, ends 6.15 pm. Finish socialising 6.45pm

Where: Private screening at a cinema close to the CBD, venue details to booked guests.

Why: Support an important cause, bring family and friends along for a great movie and great company.

All proceeds and donations go towards the legal expenses incurred by Q Society of Australia Inc, Kirralie Smith, Debbie Robinson et al. in the defamation action initiated by Mr Mohamed El-Mouehly (Halal Certification Authority Pty Ltd) before the NSW Supreme Court. This is a landmark case with considerable ramifications for freedom of expression in Australia.
